Aim of the Course
Operators should be familiar with the manufacturer’s guidance and instructions, the features and control functions of the specific model of MEWP being used and have knowledge of the operation of safety devices and emergency lowering procedures.

Course Programme:

• Legislation
• Daily inspections of machine
• Functions of controls
• Safe use of machine around site
• Certification and testing of machine & attachments
• Terrain and associated hazards
• Loading dumpers/trailers
• Transport of machine to and from site
• Practical Test
• Theory Test

Methodology:
Classroom based learning, group discussion and scenarios specific to the work environment.

Assessment
Written assessment and practical test.

Certification
DG Safety certificate valid for 3 years.

Half day approx.
