Aim of the Course
This 2-day First Aid Refresher Course covers a comprehensive range of topics to prepare the qualified First Aider to administer emergency care in the workplace.

The Course is suitable for:
Any person who needs to keep their first aid certificate in date and update on skills needed.

2. Incident Procedures
3. CPR & AED, Choking & Stroke
4. Common Medical Emergencies (Asthma, Diabetes, Seizures, Poisoning & Fainting)
5. Injury Management & Shock (Bleeding, Bone Injuries, Sprains, Strains & Dislocations, Shock)
6. Care of the Unconscious Patient
7. Burns & Electrical Injury Care
8. Hypothermia & Hyperthermia
9. Information Management
10. Communications
11. The Well-Being of the First Aider

Methodology:
In the classroom, students participate in simulated scenarios. Students work with a Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council Instructor to complete skills practice.

Assessment
All practical assessments (CPR/AED, 2 skills demonstrations) can be ongoing and assessed throughout the two days.

Certification
On completion you will get a Nationally recognised certificate
